Dr. Seda Terzyan, PhD, is a clinical neuropsychologist with a specialization in treating and evaluating co-occurring cognitive and psychological problems.
Dr. Terzyan is experienced in the delivery of both evidence-based psychotherapy and clinical neuropsychology.
Dr. Terzyan’s areas of neuropsychological expertise are in traumatic brain injuries, neurocognitive disorders, Parkinson’s disease related emotional and cognitive symptoms, memory loss, ADHD, and learning disorders. Her areas of clinical expertise are in the treatment of anxiety disorders, OCD, and trauma-related conditions. She has extensive experience working with clients presenting with medically and psychiatrically complex diagnoses. She has experience in various settings and continues to provide neuropsychological consultation services on an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit at St. Jude Medical Center. Dr. Terzyan is medical staff with HOAG Hospital and St. Jude Medical Center.
Dr. Terzyan received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California in 2016. Dr. Terzyan thereafter completed two years of post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric and adult/geriatric neuropsychology, providing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and evidence-based psychotherapy. Dr. Terzyan completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the Pacific Islands VA Healthcare System, assessing veterans and military active duty populations for presenting problems such as traumatic-brain injuries and PTSD.
Dr. Terzyan has extensive training in multiple “evidence-based” interventions, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused/Gestalt Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Cognitive Rehabilitation. She has also trained for almost 10 years at the Gestalt Associates Training Los Angeles, an emotion-focused experiential psychotherapy for individuals across the life span.
